Bernard Taylor will help pull a 30,000 pound fire truck at the 2026 Connections Fire Truck Pull on Saturday, September 5, at Gardens Park in Palm Beach Gardens. The event raises funds and awareness for Connections, a Palm Beach County nonprofit school for students with autism, a cause close to Taylor's heart as the father of a son with autism.

Bernard Taylor is being honored with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue's 2025 Lifesaving Award of the Year for his role in saving a young equestrian who was thrown from her horse in Jupiter Farms. The girl, who suffered a traumatic brain injury and spent weeks in a coma, has made a remarkable recovery and is back competing on horseback. Taylor will be recognized at the department's awards ceremony on August 28.

Data center proposals are moving forward across Florida's 21st District, in Martin County, St. Lucie County, and Loxahatchee. Bernard breaks down what these facilities really cost communities: strain on the power grid, millions of gallons of water used every day, real fire risk, and only a handful of jobs to show for it. He explains why he's against building them here.
